It’s important to make sure that your child’s asthma is well-controlled. Asthma is considered ‘well-controlled’ when:

  • Symptoms occur twice a week or less
  • You only need to use rescue medications like inhalers and bronchodilators twice a week or less
  • Your child doesn’t wake up with symptoms more than twice per month
  • You only need to fill your child’s rescue inhaler twice a year or less
